Firstly lets try to recognize the reasons we would want Justin and Crissie to learn at home versus going to public schools. Lets start off with some of the low hanging fruit or lower benefits but still very nice benefits, for instance you do not have to pack a lunch anymore for your child, you do not have to go into your childs room at six thirty in the morning and try to get them motivated to get dressed and get ready for school, you do not have to read off all the normal things you tell your child before you send them off to school.

What i believe to be one of the most important benefits of homeschooling is that you the parent become in command of how your child is developed. With this the parents are the only people that will be making decisions on what you believe your child needs to be taught or what you want your child to do, this becomes something where you have much more visibility. Being able to decide the homeschool curriculum that best fits your childrens learning needs and/or the interests of the child is probably one of the best benefits of homeschooling.

The average ratio of children to students in most schools is approx one teacher to twenty students. So one of the other benefits of homeschooling is the one on one attention that your child will recieve. Lets just say that one of your children needs more work in english, well now you can adjust the time spent on english to whatever you like as there are no set hours for learning a subject like there is in public schools. What this means is your child will be able to put more hours into a subject that they need more help with without being pressured. Remember that the time it takes for a child to learn a subject will depend on the every different child.

Just about all the steps of the learning curriculum become a family type activity, and this is fantastic for the family. Another thing that you will really love about homeschooling your child is you get to take them on field trips where you will both learn and have a wonderful time, and you will be doing experiments with them, which can be very interesting, but all then this also equals you are spending much more “quality time” with you child and i believe that this also brings a family much closer.

Another one my biggest benefits of homeschooling is your children do not have to deal with any negative peer pressure that you find in most all our public schools today, and your child does not have to compete to prove the abilities that he/she has as the competition is very low when homeschooling and your childs confidence will remain high. Planning your childs learning sessions is very key when you need to plan so that you are able to keep the child interested and moving forward, this is something that you are able to do better than any teacher in public schools possibly could because you know your child better than anyone, you might consider mixing in something that your child enjoys along with the childs difficult schooling activities. for instance you might have an hour of math with your child and then right afterwards you might go on a fieldtrip to a zoo or museum, so now the childs learning becomes much more fun.

Some think that there children are not learning enough, or some that the child might be getting pushed way to hard. Other public school issues that are concerning parents today are the discipline and ehtics that are being taught in system. There are many many reasons that parents are choosing to homeschool these days and i believe that homeschooling is the best way for a child in todays world to learn, but remember this requires a lot of your time, so dont start it unless your positive that you have the time so it will benefit your childs education.
